Traffic psychological viewpoints to driver behaviour and traffic safety
How can risky drivers be assessed psychologically? Which interventions reduce risky driving behaviour? This seminar highlights human risk factors in traffic with an emphasis on risky driving. It is organised by the Finnish Road Safety Council and the Finnish Psychological Association’s traffic psychology professionals. Event language is English, no registration fee.
On-site: Venue of the seminar is University of Helsinki, Soc&kom, Festsal, Snellmaninkatu 12, Helsinki. The number of participants on-site is limited to 100.

Introductions
Ludo Kluppels is retired from Belgian Institute of Traffic Safety, where he worked with developing a new line of activities in the Belgian Institute, based on traffic psychology. Specialist on emotions in driving, behavior change, distraction and attention in traffic.
Dr. Gunnar Meinhard has 25+ years of experience in the field of traffic safety and traffic psychology advising 50,000+ clients who have attended more than 1,500 courses. Practical experience is based on cooperation with international organizations and educational institutions and at the same time developing intervention courses in international groups, based on the latest achievements of science and technology. The main emphasis is on prevention and rehabilitation courses.
Sari Kukkamaa is a Clinical Neuropsychologist at Oulu university hospital and is specialized in driving fitness assessments to a wide variety of patients. She is a behavioral sciences specialist in the traffic accident investigation group in Oulu area. She is a chair of Traffic Psychology Committee in Finnish Psychology Association.
Jan Vissers works as a Traffic Psychologist and an expert in the field of behavior change. In his experience of almost 30 years research and development in the field of road safety, he has produced a total of more than 300 publications, most of them being research reports. He is specialized in driver training and driver assessment, driver rehabilitation programs, road safety education and public awareness campaigns.
Margit Herle works as a Traffic Psychologist and driver improvement trainer, test developer and test consultant for traffic psychology at SCHUHFRIED GmbH.

Liikenneturva ja Suomen Psykologiliiton Liikennepsykologian ammatillinen työryhmä järjestävät 7. kesäkuuta kansainvälisen liikennepsykologian seminaarin Helsingissä. Tapahtuma on tarkoitettu liikenneturvallisuuden ammattilaisille ja aiheesta kiinnostuneille. Seminaaritila on mitoitettu 100 henkilölle; osallistuminen onnistuu myös etänä rekisteröitymällä ennakkoon. Seminaarin kieli on englanti.
