Seatbelt reminder increases safety

17.02.2010 - According to a new Liikenneturva study, a seatbelt reminder exists in every other Finnish vehicle. The feature is less rare on the backseat, but can still be found in every sixth car. If one were to remember to buckle up, the road traffic fatalities would drop. Read more

New training model for motorists

05.02.2010 - Liikenneturva has developed a new training model for the additional training of motorcyclists and composed compatible materials to go with the model. The new training model directs the motorists to evaluate their own driving and the risks featured therein by using safety examples. The training model has been designed to help the ever-growing number of motorists to avoid unnecessary risks. Read more

Technology report on Finnish drivers: A navigator guides already every third driver

01.02.2010 - The Finnish cars are packed with telematics and technical devices. According to a new study by Liikenneturva, the drivers feel that the most useful devices – from the viewpoint of safety – are ABS brake systems, seatbelts and Electronic Stability Control ESC. The most distracting devices are perceived to be mobile phone, hands-free and radio.   Read more

Liikenneturva participating in a hands-free education campaign in Southeast Finland
