EDUCATION

An important tool for Liikenneturva is supporting and developing traffic education which spans the entire lifetime. Liikenneturva trains educators to take care of the traffic education of children, youth, adults and elderly. Children’s health centres, day care personnel, grade schools and other academic institutions, the Finnish Defence Forces, sports and youth organisations, labour protection institutions and retiree organisations serve as channels for information.      

Children have their own www.turvapupu.net site, which instructs children on how to travel safely in traffic. Teachers have their own content compilation, the Traffic Education Tool Box, which features a wealth of information, exercises and assignments for school. In youth traffic education, the most important channels of influence are the education system, hobby/leisure as well as other organisations and the Defence Forces. In adult education, there are, among other things, co-operation projects with various corporate players.
